Overhalla Betongbygg to deliver concrete elements for land-based salmon farming (RAS) in Iceland

The Norwegian company seals a 55 million kroner agreement with First Water to equip its terrestrial recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) plant in Þorlákshöfn. The company Overhalla Betongbygg AS has signed a major contract worth 55 million Norwegian kroner (NOK) —equivalent to approximately 5.68 million US dollars (US$)— with the Icelandic land-based fish farmer First Water. The agreement includes the delivery of prefabricated concrete elements destined for the final part of phase 1 of the new land-based salmon farming facility (RAS) that the Icelandic firm operates in Þorlákshöfn, Iceland.
